Church Update – March 28, 2020

FIRST News Saturday Update
Dear First Baptist Family,

We are thinking about all of you and hopeful for a healthy and complete return to life together soon. On Saturdays, we will be sending an email with worship links, prayer requests, and weekly connection challenges. Please pay close attention to the challenge this week so we can all recognize Palm Sunday together. Email or with any concerns that you need to share.

We will see you virtually tomorrow. Apparently, Facebook has had some trouble with so many congregations live-streaming now at 11:00 on Sunday and it is creating some lag. We apologize for any buffering. The broadcast will be available when completed and can be viewed without any lag.

Much Love,
John and Katie Callaway
Worship will continue to be live-streamed this week on our church’s Facebook page. Please click this link and scroll down to view at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

With the shelter-in-place order that has been issued for the City of Savannah, we will be broadcasting live with some recordings from our homes. Please join us.If you missed last week’s worship service, click here.
We will continue to host these check ins next week on Tuesday (March 31), and Thursday (April 2) from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Sunday, April 5th is Palm Sunday. Since we cannot celebrate it in person, we would like your help in our Palm Sunday Processional. Take a palm frond or any other greenery from your yard and take a photo or video of you/your family waving them. Send it to or and we will create a virtual Palm Sunday Processional to be used in our worship stream on April 5th. Have fun with this! If you would like any technology support (how to take videos/pictures, how to send videos/pictures) please contact us.
