Morningstar Treatment Services, Inc
At the February meeting of the Diaconate, members received a request from Morningstar Treatment Services, Inc., concerning the leasing of two classrooms on the lower level of the sanctuary building off Memorial Chapel to serve as Morningstar's Family Resource Center in Savannah. After a thorough discussion of the ministry, required space and other issues, the deacons unanimously approved a one-year lease beginning April 1, 2006 with a month-by-month continuation thereafter.
First Baptist Church has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Morningstar. With this new agreement, First Baptist Church begins a new relationship with one of its partner mission agencies in much the same way as we provide office space to United Ministries of Savannah.
