Missions Opportunities for May 2006 focus on Union Mission
The Missions and Social Ministries Committee is focusing on Union Mission during the month of May. Union Mission has requested help in sending children to Summer camp. $45.00 will pay the average registration fee and an additional $65.00 will complete the average cost of camp. If you would like to contribute to this project, please make your check payable to First Baptist Church and mark the memo line, "Union Mission Camp Project".
A mission trip is being planned to New Orleans to help with Katrina clean up over the Memorial Day weekend. The First Baptist group will leave Savannah on Thursday, May 25 and return on Monday May 29. While in New Orleans they will be working with St Charles Avenue Baptist Church. Participants are expected to pay their own way.
