Hurricane Harvey Response

News

As Christians, as Americans, as fellow humans, our hearts are troubled by the devastation in Texas after Hurricane Harvey. There are many ways to help, but in the immediate aftermath of a natural disaster, cash donations are typically needed first. There may not be sufficient infrastructure right now to support the transport of donated items like food, water or clothing coming from outside the affected area. But with a cash gift, relief agencies can immediately use the funds to procure needed items through the most efficient channels possible.

There are many organizations you can support to assist in the recovery, and we've outlined a few of them here:

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is seeking donations to support disaster relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey victims. Gifts will be used to provide goods and services through CBF partners. Click here to give through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

American Red Cross: Donate Online or call 1.800.RED CROSS or text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund: Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has established the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, and you can donate through the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Click here to make a financial donation.

United Way of Greater Houston: To give to the United Way Flood Relief Fund, visit unitedwayhouston.org/flood or text UWFLOOD to 41444.

Please note - we are not endorsing a specific charity, and there are many more ways to donate if you prefer to support a different organization.
