Called Church Conference - Sunday, September 27
On Sunday, September 27 we will hold a business conference following morning worship in order to approve actions relating to the roof trusses in the sanctuary. Actions requiring congregational approval include...
1. Authorize contractor's contract at $1,123,675
2. Authorize steering committee to proceed with funding plan to raise $1.5 million
3. Authorize bank loan equal to pledges
4. Authorize commencement of other projects and contingencies depending on amount of funds received, to be prioritized by appropriate committees and the Diaconate.
Proposed Time Schedule for Project:
Sept. 20 Sunday: Called church informational meeting in Lewis Hall
Sept. 27 Sunday: Called church conference in Sanctuary
Sept. 30 Contracts signed
Oct. 1 Work begins in balcony area
Nov. 3 Work begins in Sanctuary (erect scaffolding at eastern end)
Dec. 24 Christmas Eve Service in Sanctuary
Jan. 3 Sunday: Last Service in Sanctuary for a brief period
Jan. 4 Monday: Work begins in balance of Sanctuary(move scaffolding further toward front; probably two separate moves)
Jan. 31 or Feb. 7 Sunday: Resume services in Sanctuary
April 1 Sanctuary visual work mostly completed
April 4 Easter Sunday services in Sanctuary
