Slavery isn't just a nightmarish practice that existed in human history. Slavery is happening today - right here in the United States and all over the world.
Today, slavery is called human trafficking. Human trafficking takes many forms, but shares one thing in common - it forces a person to do something against his or her will for the purpose of exploitation. And it's a horrible crime.Human trafficking can take on the form of forced labor, bonded labor, slavery, prostitution, servitude or the removal of organs. It is estimated that more than 31,000,0000 people are caught in the web of human trafficking in our world today.
The good news is there are things we can do - things as Christians that we should do - to combat this problem. The First Baptist Church of Savannah has been studying the problems and solutions surrounding human trafficking. This page provides more resources and materials to help you get informed and get involved.
