Church Task Forces
Are you interested in getting involved on one of our church Committees or Task Forces? These groups can be great ways to share your unique talents with our church.
Task Force members do not have to be elected, and do not have to serve set terms - you can be on a task force for as long as you like!

We also have a group of Committees, which differ from Task Forces in that members are elected by the church body, and serve 3-year terms. Click here for a list of Committees.
Task Force Descriptions:
Flower Guild - Prepares fresh flower arrangements for the Sunday morning service.
Audio - Monitors and runs the sound equipment during worship services; records services.
Fellowship - Organizes refreshments and decorations for fellowship hours that occur on the first Sunday of every month and decorates for activities (including Wednesday night gatherings) that occur in Lewis Hall.
Greeters - Greets visitors before and after services on Sunday mornings.
History - Maintains the history room of the church and is committed to preserving and continuing the legacy and history of First Baptist Church.
Member Care - Takes care of the congregation's homebound members by visiting, providing meals, making phone calls, delivering flowers, and helping in other ways.
Ordinances - Prepares elements for communion which takes place the first Sunday of every month and during special services and assists baptism candidates with preparation and during the service.
Outreach/Public Relations - Relates to prospective and new church members and communicates through the media the church's ministry to the congregation and community.
Property - Helps to maintain, update, and repair the church property and grounds.
Sanctuary - Makes preparations for services on Sunday mornings and assists the staff in opening and closing the buildings.
Ushers - Greets and welcomes guests on Sunday mornings and assist by answering questions and serving as hosts.
Wedding - Serves as representatives of the church during weddings by coordinating among all parties involved.
